Here are two graphs of water levels measured in a domestic well located next to a public supply Production Well that was developed and tested by EGGI. The high yield bedrock well produces 500,000 gpd and has been in operation since 1994 and continues to successfully serve the community of New Baltimore, Virginia. As you can see, no change in ambient water levels has occurred in this domestic well between 1994 and 2004, showing that the withdrawal rate of the Production Well is in proper balance with the local environment … providing a long-term water resource for the community while at the same time not interfering with the use of the local domestic well.
